An Object in Motion – Mars square Saturn

Mars and Saturn square off today.

Mars is action packed energy. It’s new beginnings, it’s bravery, and it’s our force for putting our heart into the world.

Right now it is in Virgo, which is detailed oriented. Virgo breaks things down into little pieces so we can accomplish them one by one, and end up at our end goal successfully when we are done.

It’s very analytical. It knows what perfection looks like and knows how to get it.

Saturn is your career, but it’s also the need to be disciplined. To elevate yourself and accomplish more, and not because it’s easy, but because it’s hard but you worked harder. It’s your ability to give authority to yourself, otherwise, something external may have to do the job (think a cop pulling you over for speeding when you’re going too fast in life and need to slow down and breathe!). Be your own authority. Recognize that feeling of what you know you need, and integrate it in your life. Breathe if you’re going too fast. Hustle if you’re going too slow. Listen, and act.

Right now it is in Sagittarius, which is happy go lucky! Sagittarius is the big picture. It has huge dreams and visions, and it’s ready to accomplish them. Sagittarius is also learning though, being open to new experience, adventure, and wisdom. This Saturn transit is not here to show us we have failed or don’t know enough. Sagittarius is knowing that no matter how wise you get, you will always have more to learn, and sometimes being the student of life is the wisest thing you can do. Failing is sometimes the wisest thing you can do.

With Saturn in Sagittarius, we’ve all been facing obstacles when it comes to accomplishing our dreams, but that should not keep us from working hard and doing it anyways. In a way, this transit is about testing your faith in you, your goals, and your ability to accomplish them. You’ll face bumps on the road, but you keep going.

How are you doing?

With Mars in Virgo though, while our ambitions are dealing with the big picture, our actions are taking what may look like just baby steps, but those baby steps are so important! You can’t get to your destination without putting one foot in front of the other, and that’s just what this Mars transit wants us to do.

But Mars and Saturn are square. Squares cause tension. Hard tension. The tension you can’t ignore.

Maybe you aren’t feeling up to acting on your dreams. Maybe you keep filling your day to day life up with tasks that miss the point rather than being brave and going for the gold. Maybe you aren’t even acting at all, and it’s creating a sense of worry in you. You know you need to do something, but you aren’t sure what.

And that’s probably because you need to balance in the big picture with the individual brush strokes. You’ve been working hard to paint each line, but right now it is time to step back.

Look at how much you’ve already accomplished. Look how far you already made it from the starting point. Even if it’s just wanting to take the journey, that is movement. Celebrate this progress.

Tune into your dreams.

Then come up with some baby steps of action today. Things you know you need to do to get you closer to your end goal.

Make a list, keep it short and to the most essential.

Then get it done!

The only thing stopping you from action is action.

And we all know the laws of inertia, an object in motion stays in motion, an object at rest will stay at rest,

Unless

That object at rest gets a poke or a prod of kinetic energy. A burst of energy and action! Motivation. Inspiration. Be driven! Don’t give up on your goals. Give yourself a push, and go, go, go.

Don’t just be an object at rest, but don’t just act without intention.

Know what direction you want, then push in that direction.

The destination is always worth the journey (especially because the journey is pretty awesome itself) so don’t be afraid to jump in and go for all that you want. It’s there at your fingertips, and ready to be yours.
